A few Philly Sites

I was fortunate enough to attend the Juvenile Arthritis Conference in Philly this summer. In between the hours I spent in very cold hotel conference rooms, I was able to explore.

Love.

Terminal Market. Food heaven.

Philly Cheese steak, naturally.

Chinatown.

Look who I found. Named him Curtis.

Rainy Duluth

I take a trip up to Duluth about once a month or so for work. It seems to rain 90% of the time I go there. I snapped a few shots when I was there. The sepia captures the dreary-ness of the rain.

Circus Track.

Fences in a row. Weird and protected. In a row.

Fitgers. Eat their food- it's good.

Woodland Hill

Visited Woodland Hill with a couple of good people. We had some wine, enjoyed listening to a couple very interesting rounds of karaoke and ate lots of cheese. Beautiful vineyard. I want to own a vineyard.

It's been awhile...

Summer apparently trumped the blogging and photo taking. I will take more pictures now. Have to...the leaves are starting to change and it's my favorite season!

 Flowers.

No pictures on this one, just thoughts...

This morning on the way to work I was stuck in one crazy rush hour, taking me three times the amount of time as usual. Luckily, I had no meetings this morning so I was able to enjoy it. Yes, enjoy. I find the time sitting in traffic to be quite relaxing. It's a really get time to think things through.

As I was enjoying the sweet (and loud) sounds of the Fleet Foxes while drinking my coffee, it made me laugh that we are living our lives kind of like lemmings. Isn't it funny that we go to work every single day? And EVERYONE does it. There are some days where work to me just controls everything in my life and makes my moods and makes me who I am. What would things be like if we didn't have to work? Although a functioning society would be a bit more challenging, your day to day lives would probably be just a bunch of little adventures. Well, if you're someone like me they would be because sitting and wasting time is boring.

There were crazy amounts of personality this morning. Cars with parents taking their kids to school while the kids are listening to their own headphones because having a conversation with mom at 7 a.m. would be terrible. Men getting their ties straight, people singing/drumming (I'm in this category), all races, all ages, people laughing. It's funny. Also saw someone driving a Prius and smoking a cig...hmm little weird, way to help out the environment. ha. I liked too how a lot of the people were visibly angry that they couldn't get through the traffic. Life is too special to get mad about that stuff, if you can't control it don't get mad about it. RIGHT!? Ok, babbling thoughts. Time to get work done.

Foot in the Door

A group of us went to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts this weekend to check out the Art in Bloom exhibit. We also caught the Foot in the Door exhibit where anyone could turn in their art to showcase. It was awesome. Definitely some interesting/creative ideas there.
